Data games
From Freebase
Data games are Freebase Applications that encourage people to add data to Freebase in an easy (fun?) way. Data games are often written in Acre and sometimes use the RABJ service.

Aliases
- aliases.freebaseapps.com is an acre app for finding aliases in wikipedia redirects.
Geography
- geographer is an acre app for finding geodata using google maps (NOTE: app out of service at this time).
Typing
- Typewriter[1] is a simple app to type topics based on their Wikipedia categories. However, it doesn't limit itself to untyped topics; some of the types you will be adding will be second or subsequent types.
- Untyped Topics application lists 20 untyped topics at a time that match any string, and you can then do what you like with them, for example: open each in a tab and use the Freebase.com website to “Add type”.
- Keyword Typer allows you to specify a string to match on as well as a likely type. You’ll then be asked to confirm or skip the typing for each topic.
Dates
- hotdate is an acre app that extracts dates of events from wikipedia articles.
Pictures
This ACRE app, written by Dae uses the Yahoo image search API to find candidates. You can add topic ids in the first box, and then /common/topic in the second. You'll then be able to edit the image property. Select the "Yahoo image search" tab and you'll get a gallery you can choose from. The idea behind this app is to set up a queue of topics you can add data to in sequence, so you could put in a list of topic keys to edit. Note that images will be added as "Fair use" and served as a small size from the Freebase API even if the selected image has been released under a permissive license.
Wordnet
- wordhunger needs help connecting freebase to wordnet.
Error correction
- detypewriter makes a queue of topics that it knows are inconsistent and lets you split or repair them
- resolver allows you to bluntly untype things typed mistakenly
