Attributing Freebase as a source of data

Freebase is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution license (aka CC-BY), which means that if you use Freebase data (eg. via the API or Data dumps) you must provide attribution back to Freebase.

• Freebase licensing policy in full
• The Attribution Wizard generates suitable attributions for you to cut and paste to your website or app.

Attributing other data sources

If another Data source is under CC-BY, attribution must be given in a similar manner. This is generally done via Attribution templates.
